  • ½ tbsp white wine vinegar

To serve:

  • 4 soft wholemeal bread rolls
  • 2 gherkins, sliced

  1. Put sliced onion into the bottom of the slow cooker and top with the pork steaks.

  2. Next make the marinade: Whisk together the spices, garlic, salt, mustard, vinegar, tomato puree and sugar in a jug and pour over the steaks.

  3. Slow cook for 6-8 hours on a low heat until the pork is tender and ready to shred.

  4. Whilst the pork is cooking, prep the coleslaw by mixing all of the ingredients then fridging until ready to serve.

  5. Once the pork is cooked, remove from the slow cooker and shred using two forks. Drizzle over some of the cooking juices and mix well.

  6. Stack the pulled pork onto a wholemeal bread roll and top with the delicious homemade coleslaw and sliced gherkins.
